This Tuesday (19th) is the last WUG of 2017 and my last WUG session in charge before handing over the reins to Howard! I hope you all can make it to have a little celebration of what we have achieved in the last 3 1/2 years. Feel free to bring some nibbles (but bring them discretely through the pub!).  I look forward to our final session.

WUGgle week

Almost there now, for 2017 at least. This Tuesday is the penultimate session of the year and, as we are now in December, it’s time to bring along book 2 as well. We’ll do more of what we did last session and I’ll take even more of a back seat! So maybe a think about what songs you will choose and how they might be counted in. Also maybe try and think of some different songs to do…

WUG week

It’s WUG week again! Over the next two sessions I’ll try and show you all what I think is needed for a successful uke session, as a short transition from being a dictatorship to becoming a democracy. There’s a few simple things you can do to try and make sure a song works the best it can do and everyone can have a go at them with their chosen song. The aim of this is to try and make the group less reliant on just one person, so in January you can all pull together for the group to work. If this sounds daunting, it isn’t, and it’s only for a couple of session and then we can just have a bit of a party  on 19th December!

After what seems a very long time since the last one, for me at least, this Tuesday is a WUG Tuesday! I look forward to seeing you all then.

I’ve added two of new songs to our 2017 book, they are on the WUG Book tab, both individually for those who print and in the 2017 book, for those who use a tablet. I liked the 80s!

Well done everyone!

Everything went really well today and there have been lots of positive comments from the people who heard us, so well done. I’m sure that someone will have videoed a song or two and, if I come across any, I’ll post them on here.

There will not be a session this Tuesday (5th) so I will see you all on the 19th for the next get together.

Thanks for today and I hope we raised a lot of cash!

Pantiles

I hope you are all feeling fit a ready for Saturday’s fund raiser. As you know, we are opening the show which starts at midday this Saturday. Please be there by 11:45 at the latest with the gig book, the busk book, a music stand and a few clothes pegs are always useful if it is windy (oh, and your uke!). If we play like we did in the last session it’s going to be good. The most important thing is to enjoy it, and if you can’t muster enjoyment at least try and look like you’re enjoying it and sing with confidence.
